A modest 1950's villa in the village of Bergen

proved to be so characteristic that it's new residents

decided to renovate and extend it, rather than to

demolish the house. The design of the BD House

became a juxtapositional transformation in which

the life of a young family, local cultural heritage,

and the rich character of the landscape merged.
